Tank Abbott steps in to replace Bob Sapp!

With Cage Rage Championships 21: Judgment Day only days away, the main event of Bob Sapp vs. Gary Turner appeared to be in jeopardy.  Sapp was not be able to fight on the show, and Cage Rage was short a main event talent to fight Gary Turner, a formidable kickboxer.  Cage Rage turned to Valor Fighting, and Tank Abbott stepped up to take the fight.

This may shock some who read this, but Tank literally jumped off of the barstool, onto the plane, and into the cage!  Tank, who had not been training for this or any fight, when asked why he took this fight with Turner on such short notice, said only, "What the hell!"

Abbott, the original Huntington Beach Bad Boy and original UFC veteran has never been one to back down from a fight, and this was no different. Gary Turner has been preparing for the fight of his life against Bob Sapp, and was in great shape for the main event. Not dissuaded, Abbott felt confident enough in himself to jump right in, and literally fly to London mere hours after he was offered the fight. However, the fight did not work out quite as Tank planned. Fans in attendance saw Turner defeat the legend in the first round. Tank received a great reaction from the fans & MMA World as they realized he stepped in witha  world class fighter, with no notice and had not trained for the fight, but lived up to his reputation as someone who never backs down when a fight presents itself. One thing is for sure, we have not seen the last of Tank Abbott inside the cage.
