MSNBC FEATURE ON VALOR FIGHTING & ERIN TOUGHILL

With the recent explosion in popularity of MMA, several media outlets have been giving credit to the Mixed Martial Arts community for being something much more than a barbaric sport. They are beginning to understand the competition and incredible stories that are seen everyday in the MMA world. Recently 60 Minutes did a story on MMA, one of the first mainstream news pieces covering Mixed Martial Arts. Coming up soon, MSNBC will be doing a several part series covering MMA and the real life stories told by the fighters themselves, entitled MSNBC: Warrior Nation.

          MSNBC was looking for the top companies and top fighters in the world to work with on this project and they came to Valor Fighting & Management.  With such a large and colorful list of fighters, MSNBC was intrigued by one of the best in the world, Erin Toughill.  They were intrigued to see such a beautiful woman competing in MMA, and dominating at that!  They recently filmed Erin and her journey with husband, and fellow Valor Fighter Clark “Irish Bulldog” Bevans, as she made her United States MMA Debut at Valor Fighting’s Showdown II at Cache Creek Casino in 2006.

          Erin faced off against one of the most gutsy and strong willed women in MMA, Jenn Case. Case, was a big underdog heading into the fight, but was not deterred. She came into the fight and won over the fans and gave Erin the toughest fight of her career.  Both fighters earned each other’s respect, as well as the respect of the fans and MMA community.  The fight, which was a definite fight of the year candidate will be profiled by MSNBC on the feature.
